Congress - Here is your
Homework Assignment!

Last week President Bush stood before the
American people and asked us to support him
in his decision to assign 20,000 more U.S.
troops to help with our fight against
terrorism in Iraq. The two words that I want
to focus on in the preceding sentence are
'stood' and 'our.'
I said, the President stood before the
American people. Almost every modern day
President when addressing the nation have
sat behind their desk in the oval office.
President Bush stood straight and tall, as a
statesman would, with his hands at his side
and spoke from his heart directly to the
American people.
Howard Fineman of Newsweek magazine,
described him as a "Perpetrator standing in
a line-up trying not to look guilty" I did
not see that, nor did anyone else I
questioned about his posture and demeanor.
What I saw, was a prosecutor standing before
a jury telling it like it is. And, yes it is
our fight, not the President's as some in
the media would have you believe.
Let me explain why it is our fight. Even
though the battles are raging in Iraq we are
fighting terrorism in America. If you do not
believe that, take a deep breath and read
on. Of the world's approximately 1.2 billion
Muslims in the world, it is estimated that
10 to 15 percent are militant Islamics. That
is more than 100-million people that would
cut your throat without even taking a deep
breath. Think about what 19 of them alone
did on 9/11.
We have been told that Islam is a
religion of peace. Have you ever read the
Quran? Despite what you think it is not a
book of peace, it is not a bible which has
been interpreted as the word of God. It is
not the word of Allah as most people
believe. It is Mohammad's law, which
advocates the conversion of the world's
population to accept Islam even if by force,
intimidation and coercion. If you do not
believe it; then read it.
According to Robert Spencer in the
"Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam And
The Crusades," - "Mohammad taught his
followers that there was nothing better or
holier than Jihad warfare. He told his
people to offer non-Muslims only three
choices: Conversion, Subjugation or Death.
These teachings are not marginal doctrines
or historical relics - they are still taught
in mainstream Islam. They are in the Quran.
It is not just Muhammad's opinion. It is
Islamic Law. The political correct myth is
that Islam is a religion of peace that has
been hijacked by a tiny minority of
extremists. Nothing could be further from
the truth."
If you examine the worldwide demographic
shifts that are working to the advantage of
Islamic extremist you will learn the
following:
- At present, while much of the world is
experiencing civilization exhaustion the
Muslims are benefiting from significant
population growth.
- In 1970 the total population in the
developed world accounted for 30 percent of
the total global population. At that time,
the Muslim population accounted for 15
percent. Today it is equal at 20-percent
Muslim and 20-percent non-Muslim.
- These demographic shifts are important,
because even though most Muslims
disassociate themselves from terrorist acts,
many share the objective of extremists,
including the desire to live under Islamic
Law in Europe, Canada and eventually the
U.S.
- As a result of these demographic changes
the Muslim world will have three reliable
votes on the U.N. Security Council in the
not too distant future.
- The war in Iraq is just one front in a
larger struggle. It has identified Iran as a
major source of terrorist activity. Tehran
is funding both Sunni and Shia elements in
Iraq. The Mullahs do not worry about Iran
not having an exit strategy from Iraq. Only
American legislators do.
Our enemies have not fallen asleep. We
have. Their long range strategy is to have
the West collapse from within. Politically,
Economically, Psychosocially and Militarily.
Politically - we are in turmoil,
practically paralyzed. The world sees
American politics in chaos.
Economically - increased demand for oil
by China and India has escalated prices.
OPEC if tapped out with recession and
depression around the corner. The U.S. has
more oil than all the Arab nations combined.
However, the environmentalists and congress
won't let us drill for fear of displacing
the Spotted Owl or Caribou. However, they
have no problem displacing you and I through
Eminent Domain.
Psychosocially - The Muslim world sees us
as the porno capital of the world. They see
a better than 50-percent divorce rate and an
abortion policy that kills thousands of
unborn each year. They see an illegal
immigration system that destines the social
welfare systems into bankruptcy. They see
liberal activists Judges distorting our
Constitution and removing prayer from
schools and institutions. They see the filth
distributed by Hollywood.
Militarily - we are best winning wars
designed against Nation States. We are not
good at Guerilla Wars where the enemy wears
no uniforms and does not adhere to a code of
military conduct. We are fighting a
Politically Correct war and that will not
work. We must revise our rules of
engagement.
It is now politically correct for us to
swear in a U.S. Congressman with the Quran
rather that the bible. Imagine what the
impact on recruiting Muslim Terrorists
worldwide will be to see a Muslim
Congressman sworn in, to represent the "land
of the free and the home of the brave' with
his hand on the Quran. To support and
defend the constitution of the United States
of America through the eyes and
interpretation of a Muslim who follows the
Quran. Do you think he will separate the
church and state while praying on his knees
five times a day during congressional
sessions?
James Freeman Clark, a Unitarian Minister
in the 1800's said, "A politician only
thinks of the next election. A statesman of
the next generation." That is why President
George W. Bush stood tall as a statesman. He
is thinking of my children, grandchildren
and their children to come.
If you ask yourself "Where is the Enemy?'
the answer is they are everywhere. If we do
not win the peace in Iraq (we have already
won the war) we will lose everything in the
eyes of the world. Freedom as we know it may
be lost forever.
Therefore, my homework assignment for all
the members of the new congress is to read
the Quran. Maybe next time they will think
long and hard before voting against
protecting the people they swore to protect
and serve.
Ronald Regan said it best when he said -
"Freedom is never more than one generation
away from extinction. We did not pass it to
our children in our bloodstream. It must be
protected and handed on for them to do the
same, or one day we will spend our sunset
years telling our children and our
children's children what it was once like in
the United States when men were free."
Wake up America before it is too late.
And, that's my opinion.
